What are holograms or buffer trails, and how do I fix them?
Holograms are wavy, shimmering patterns left in the paint by machine polishing, most often from a rotary polisher, an aggressive pad or poor technique. They are visible under direct sunlight. They can usually be removed by refining the area with a dual-action polisher, a finishing polish and a soft finishing pad. Fillers and glazes only hide holograms temporarily.
