Why does my paint look perfect in the garage but swirled in sunlight?
Diffused garage lighting hides fine scratches, while direct sunlight and point light sources reveal them by reflecting off every scratch edge. Swirls, holograms and haze are often only visible under that kind of light. When polishing, use a strong inspection light, check from several angles and, if possible, inspect the car outdoors before applying protection.
