Why do swirl marks come back after polishing?
They may not actually be returning; fillers or polishing oils may have temporarily hidden scratches that become visible again after washing. New swirls can also be introduced by poor wash and drying technique. Proper panel preparation with a panel wipe helps reveal the true correction result before protection is applied, and careful washing keeps new swirls from forming.
