Does ceramic coating protect against bird-dropping damage?
A ceramic coating can provide a sacrificial, chemically resistant layer that gives extra time to clean the contamination off and makes removal easier, but it is not immune to strong organic acids or prolonged heat exposure. A dropping left for long enough in the sun can still etch the coating and, eventually, the clear coat. Bird droppings should still be removed promptly from coated cars.
