Why is my towel leaving streaks or lint when leveling a ceramic coating?

Leveling towels stop working well once they become saturated with coating, and partly cured residue in the fibers can drag and streak. Low-quality or new towels with loose fibers can shed lint, and towels washed with fabric softener can smear. Use clean, short-to-medium pile microfiber dedicated to coating work, fold towels to expose fresh faces often and switch to a new towel as soon as the wipe stops feeling smooth.
