Why does my matte wrap have shiny patches?
Shiny patches usually come from friction or the wrong products. Rubbing hard, using wax, gloss sprays or polishes, or scrubbing the same spot repeatedly can burnish the matte texture. Areas such as door handle recesses and the edges of the hood are often affected first. Light patches caused by product residue may clean up; burnished or polished areas are generally permanent.
