Why does my ceramic-coated car feel grabby instead of slick?
A grabby or draggy feel usually means something is sitting on top of the coating: traffic film, mineral deposits, dried shampoo or spray residue, or bonded fallout. Wash thoroughly, then use an iron remover and, if needed, a coating-safe mineral remover, and dry the paint before judging the feel again. If the surface is genuinely clean but still grabby, the coating's top layer may be worn. A compatible topper can restore slickness, but persistent loss across the car suggests the coating is nearing the end of its life.
