Should I use an acidic shampoo on a ceramic-coated car?
Occasional use of a coating-safe acidic shampoo can help remove mineral deposits and restore performance, especially in hard-water areas. It should be used according to the product instructions and not treated as the default shampoo for every maintenance wash unless the coating manufacturer specifically recommends that use. Avoid letting acidic products dry on the surface, and be cautious around sensitive finishes such as bare or polished metal.
