How should I clean a car touchscreen or display without damaging it?
Many screens have anti-glare or anti-fingerprint coatings that can be damaged by strong solvents, ammonia and abrasive towels. Turn the screen off, use a clean, soft microfiber towel and, if needed, a cleaner the vehicle manufacturer approves for displays, applied to the towel rather than the screen. Wipe gently without pressing hard. Avoid household glass cleaners and general-purpose interior sprays unless they are labeled screen-safe.
