How do I remove road tar without damaging car paint?
Use a dedicated automotive tar remover on a cool, clean surface and allow it to dissolve the contamination before wiping. Avoid aggressive rubbing or scraping, because tar can trap grit and create scratches when dragged across the paint. Wash the area afterward to remove solvent residue, and check whether the remover is safe for plastic trim, wraps and film before using it near them.
