How do I remove paint overspray without polishing the car?
Light overspray can sometimes be removed with chemical softening, a fine clay medium or a synthetic decontamination towel. The correct method depends on the overspray material, such as paint, clear coat, primer or concrete sealer, and how strongly it has bonded. Test a small area first, use plenty of lubrication and inspect often, because aggressive mechanical removal can leave fine scratches in the clear coat. Heavy overspray is best assessed by a professional.
