How do I prepare glass before applying a glass coating?
The glass must be completely clean and free of oils, previous repellents and mineral deposits so the coating can bond evenly. A typical sequence is a thorough wash, glass cleaner, clay or a glass decontamination product, and a glass polish if there are mineral spots or old repellent layers, followed by a final wipe with a solvent prep product as directed. Cleaning the wiper blades at the same time helps prevent chatter afterward.
