Can scratches in interior plastic be removed?
It depends on the type of plastic. Textured interior plastics cannot be polished, because polishing flattens the texture and leaves a shiny patch; light scuffs can only be cleaned and made less visible with a trim protectant, and deep scratches need professional repair. Smooth, glossy plastics such as piano-black trim can sometimes be improved with a very fine polish applied by hand. Protectants and trim coatings do not fill or remove existing scratches, but they make new marks less likely and the surface easier to clean.
