What are ceramic coating high spots, and how do I fix oily or rainbow-colored patches?
High spots are areas where excess coating cures thicker or more unevenly than the surrounding surface, often appearing as dark, oily, streaky or rainbow-like patches. Fresh high spots may be re-leveled during the working window, often by reapplying a small amount of coating to soften them and wiping again. Cured high spots usually require light polishing with a fine polish, followed by recoating of the corrected area.
