How do I remove water spots from a ceramic-coated car without polishing?
Begin with the least aggressive method: a normal wash, followed by a coating-safe water-spot remover or a mild acidic decontamination product applied to a cool panel, worked briefly and rinsed or neutralized as the label directs. Repeat on stubborn spots rather than increasing pressure. If the outline of the spot is still visible after the mineral deposit has been dissolved, the surface has etched, and chemical cleaning alone will not remove it; polishing and recoating that area may then be required.
