Can I keep using a clay bar after dropping it on the ground?
No. A dropped clay bar picks up grit that cannot be reliably removed, and that grit will scratch the paint on the next pass. Throw it away, or cut off and discard the contaminated portion if the bar is large and the damage is clearly limited to one face. Working with a small piece of clay and keeping the rest in its container limits the waste if this happens.
