Can I wash my car in freezing temperatures?
It is possible, but it needs care. Water can freeze in door seals, locks, mirrors and on the glass, and cold water and chemicals are less effective. Wash in a sheltered or heated space if possible, use lukewarm water, dry door seals, locks and handles thoroughly and avoid leaving water on the glass. Leaving road salt on the car for weeks is generally worse than washing carefully in cold weather.
