Can I polish scratches out of a windshield?
Only very light marks. Fine wiper haze and light scuffs can sometimes be reduced with a dedicated glass polish, but removing deeper scratches requires taking away enough glass to cause optical distortion in the driver's view. A scratch that catches a fingernail is generally a job for a glass specialist or a replacement windshield. Excessive heat from machine polishing can also stress the glass.
