Can I apply ceramic coating over rock chips or touch-up paint?
A coating will not fill or repair rock chips, and coating over open chips leaves bare primer or metal exposed. Repair chips first, and allow touch-up paint to cure according to the touch-up product's instructions before leveling, polishing or coating over it. Coating fresh touch-up paint too early can trap solvents and affect the repair. Once cured and leveled, touched-up areas can be coated along with the rest of the panel.
