Can ceramic coating damage car paint?
A correctly applied ceramic coating does not damage healthy factory paint; it bonds to the clear coat as a thin protective layer. Problems usually come from the process around it: aggressive polishing during preparation, high spots left to cure, coating applied over failing or freshly repainted paint, or a coating removed later by heavy machine polishing. Choose an experienced installer or follow the product instructions closely, and have repainted or damaged panels assessed before they are coated.
